FIN BOOKSHELF PLANTER

FUNCTIONAL DESIGN

Add a splash of green to your workplace with the Fin Bookshelf Planter. Place it up against a wall or use it to create a natural divide; its height provides a sense of privacy when seated while maintaining an open feel in your workplace.

A defining feature of the Fin Bookshelf Planter is the subtlety of the joint details that are neatly concealed, creating an elegantly thin storage solution. The open shelving of the Fin Bookshelf Planter is perfect for displaying books and magazines or housing office documents and other items, with each shelf measuring 380mm (W) x 330mm (H) x 380mm (D). It is recommended that a protective plastic sheet or absorbent material be placed at the bottom of the plant trough to catch the water from any leaky plant pots.

Place many Fin Bookshelf Planters in a line to section off a meeting space or put two back-to-back and create an island of green in the office. Combine a Bookshelf Planter with a Locker Planter or any other Fin storage product and cover all your storage needs.

The Fin Locker Planter comes fully assembled

Birch species are relatively fast growing and support a myriad of varied wildlife, and where managed as a sustainable forest resource, do not impinge on the natural biodiversity.

Birch plywood has an elegance to it, thanks to its smooth, pale finish which leaves a beautiful sheen on any product made from it. Wood is not only a natural and aesthetically pleasing material for any work space, it is an easy product to maintain and repair.

Environmental Sustainability Impact Assessment:

Impact Area
Materials Furniture is made from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified Baltic Birch plywood. Sourced from sustainably managed Northern European forests. Birch species are relatively fast growing and support a myriad of varied wildlife, and where managed as a sustainable forest resource, do not impinge on the natural biodiversity.

Wood itself is a renewable, natural resource and is recognised as the only genuine Carbon Neutral manufacturing material. When wood is used in place of other other materials (eg: steel, plastic) it provides a significant savings in CO2 emissions.

When used, recycled and disposed of correctly wooded products sequester carbon and help to contribute to net-negative emissions strategies.

FSC chain of custody certification is available on request.

Osmo Oil
Osmo Oil

All of our furniture pieces are finished with a durable Osmo Oil finish. Osmo oil offers a natural and environmentally friendly alternative to wood finishing. The products are based on rapidly renewable, natural vegetable oils that penetrate deeply into the wood, keeping it elastic and healthy, whilst preventing it from drying and becoming brittle. The wood is allowed to breathe which means it is naturally protected, moisture can evaporate whilst the surface is water resistant. It’s durable, easy to apply, and easy to repair.

Formica

The Formica used for the white laminate furniture comprises of less than 6% of any item. The Formica used is GREENGUARD® certified. That is, it does not contain harmful chemicals and no more than 5% by volume Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).

Manufacture Kudu Group Ltd is a certified Carbon Neutral company. We are environmentally conscious in all that we do. From the materials we use, the products we manufacture, and indeed every company process.
